We are starting again on GCG, this is so totally different from other grids that we want to make sure you understand that coming to Canada is not the same as when you land on other virtual soil.

Where else can you go and be made to feel so welcome on arrival.  There is a welcome area, that allows you to pick out what avatar you would like to look like while you settle in.  A folder is provided on where to go for FREE items, new shape, new hair, new skin, AND if you like it what you see, till you really know what you want to do here at GCG you can have a small parcel of land FREE to put down a small house, trailer or stand under a tree.. whatever you want.

The Canadian spirit is alive and well on the GCG.  Join the group when you arrive, if you need anything and can't find it..  you go into the group and in chat, ask... how  simple is that.  There are two groups actually, one is the general grid group, and the other is called GCG Flyer... join it too, cuz that is the group that sends out notices you will want to know about.  

Along the wall you will see the faces and names of GCG officials who are available to assist you if you need help.  Roddie Macchi the owner who is very approachable when he is not on the run.  Bastien Falconvale mentor, Daniella MacTire staff,  Anna Wright  staff, Hairy Thor Forums Admin.  As mentioned in previous paragraph, the group always has people on who are very willing to help if they can and do.. If they don't know they try to help you find out..

 Enchanted , on Nameless Isle  (mesh hair)(shapes,skins)  Owner Key Rayne is still moving in, but she has put up enough for you to have a nice wander and maybe find yourself a hairstyle that will hook you.  Some you out there know how you want to look and are willing to walk the mile for tat "special" hair do. The shop even has two prize chairs for those who like to stand while sorting overloaded inventories waiting for the lucky letter.

Before we leave the Great Canadian Grid for today, we'd like to tell you about a contest that is going on at *** Power Angels ***Shop, Fun, Dance, Money, Houses,  when you land.. go straight and then go right towards the big picture boards.  You'll see the big sign, Photo contest.  Many of you are avid

photographers, Bob and Kylie Garzo  have got this contest going, take a silly wacky, picture, the rules are in a note card there, and put it on the board, every 7th of the month, they will pick a winner based on the number of votes.. it is fun, and a great way to get your friends in here to play and vote... While there look around in the shops, check out all there is to be had.

Jettis and China make their home in both GCG and InworldZ, these two jet setters are making friends and enjoying themselves, it is hard to pin them down on where they spend the most time.  Friends InworldZ own clubs that are always providing a whole lot of entertainment, we've covered three of them here in previous posts.

  Trail End Saloon   owned by Dick Pinelli and Rusty Larimore where you get to dance to the meanest country rocking sounds, ever.

  ! The Loft Blues Club,  also owned by  Dick and Rusty. this club is where you will get all the down and dirty blues you can handle.  As well as guest entertainers that you are familiar with from other grids, like SL (second life)

Rockin' the Blues, Wyldwood Bayou NE - this popular hangout is owned and operated by the lovely Kira Wyldfire.  Not only does she have some of the best DJs around, she performs herself.. with her own brand of blues..  psst a little secret, she is a great builder... you didn't hear that here.

Great Canadian Grid

A Tim Horton's - fellow Canadians will know what Tim Horton's is.. and some New Yorkers.

A new land that is vast, open, and very friendly.  The Great Canadian Grid... owned and operated by a Canadian, Roddie Macchi. To read more about the GCG, what it is all about, and  who the founder is, please visit, www.greatcanadiangrid.ca   If you are not already in the community "hey" you are more than welcome to join in on the fun.

When you arrive, there is detailed information on how to go about getting started, there is so much offered that is free, and shared by other builders and designers in the community, initially you will be able to start out with a nice starter house, on your own small plot of land.  Sit down, hold on to your hats, you can find a small place with 1000 available prims. !!! Hey! No kidding.

If you are already a virtual traveller, then you can own your own sim/island for $10 Canadian, (I think its $9. US) a month.  Bring your business, club, market to GCG.  Some malls offer free rent.

There are two groups to join when you come in... and they are right there when you land.  Clear instructions are provided on how to join the groups., One is the

Great Canadian Grid, where you will become known to others in the community, and where if you need anything, you simply holler for help and someone will come to your rescue.

The other group is the Great Canadian Flyer, this is where if you are a merchant you can post specials, grand openyu can find that is free to run around in... this is a mature environment, if you want to run around half dressed, that is up to you. The good news is we have some great talent coming in every day.. and by using the GCG Flyer and chatting in the GCG group  you will soon be the belle of your world.  whatever your "style" you'll find it here.

What is a Harley?  We automatically think of the Harley Davidson Motor bikes, well in this case, no... Harley is a DJ. DJ Harley Alcove.  He managed to get me going, when i didn't wanna.  Ho hum, another DJ... I know bad attitude, but were we in for a treat, the man makes the place rock.  He does a mix of country, oldies, and pop/rock.. the music seamlessly wraps around you till you can't sit still.

Where do you find this DJ Harley....  Tuesday nites he is the regular DJ at 
Club Mirror  his time slot is from 4 pm - 6 pm  iwZ time.   .  ps. ladies, he rides a Harley...

Club Mirror is a big club, with lots of room to dance. The crowds there are varied, sometimes Formal, other times casual, the whole idea is to come and join in.  Owner is Kitten Mirror another transplant from SL, (we are just everywhere)  Kitten will be more than happy to give you a group invite.  There is always something going on.

Recently a good friend decided to drop over to IWz to check it out.  The trick how to find a suitable AV while you travel around, check out the sights, and not spend a bundle.  After all, while IW is a lot like SL, it s not SL.  You are stranger in a brand new world.

Shllelz Designs (land of three Moons)  shapes and skins, a variety to look at, and prices are good.. so is the quality.

This is by way of introducing you to another community InworldZ - that of the Wee folk.There will be more of the Wee community, which includes Tinies, Elves, Fairies.Dragons, to name but a few. Tess and Tad are wearing Dinkie avatars.

Spent a happy hour at THE CELLAR JAZZ CLUB, listening and being entertained by Veronica Weksler 

Veronica Weksler aka MsJAMZ(Paltalk) or  V, as she is known to her friends here on SL, sings Opera, Standards, Gospel, Blues, Jazz, R&B, some Rock & Ballads.  A a a Seasoned Performer in SL, she has been playing piano & singing since she was three years old.  Having been born into a musical and very talented family, it was only natural that she has the talent plus an excellent ear for music. Her Mom & Dad both sang  for Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Glen Miller,  Benny Goodman and  a few other Big Bands.
Born in Mt Vernon, NY, her family moved to Southern Florida, when she was only six weeks old and was raised in Miami.
It all started in SOUTH  DADE. Dade County also being known as the end of the Bible Belt she started singing Gospel... As she was growing up her love for Traditional  as  well as CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN ROCK songs grew over the  years. She, also a vocal coach,  has  also participated in Children and Adult Choirs with a very strong Music Ministry.
Since learning to play piano about the age of three, guitar at 12 and percussions, Veronica has been singing in bands and Church Choirs most  all of her life.
She is a Contemporary Christian Rock Singer in RL, Musician and song writer. She also has included a variety of  Originals & Covers into her show.

There are ebil peeps everywhere, and the Tiny community has its share.  I speak of the one and only Sweecahcahche,ah, known to friends as Sweecah.
Ebil, ebil,ebil, she told us today that if you have never ever been a Tiny and this is to be your first Tiny avatar, to see her directly... She will get you hooked with a smile and a sweetness that only Sweecah can deliver.

You go through the boards, there are three, you will find it isn't easy to make a decision.  You think you've decided, only to then find another cutie you can't resist.

Star believe it or not, decided she had to be a hedgehog.  This after she told DJ Kirt (he is a Tiny Paddington Bear. from same designer) that although cute, she was not going Tiny.  We have proof here, she's off the wagon, she is Tiny.

Q's Kangaroo Fashion @ TINY OUTPOST  Star's dress came from this shop in the Tiny Outpost. Saw there were a couple of freebies there.  If you do go Tiny check out this shop.  

Next door to the Kangaroo Fashion shop are two other must visit shops.  One is for all you males out there that love your cars,trucks,planes, etc.  Small and Courageous   owned by Shakespeare Shamrock, and kitty corner to that is a store owned and operated by the one only awesome possum, Awenbunny Lisle.

Willow Creek - Tiny Outfitters - Tiny Outpost location

Tiny has been around for a long time.  The pioneer of the Tiny as we know it today was the brainchild of Wynx Whiplash, you will still find one of her shops at the Tiny Outpost.

While the Tiny Outpost has not been around SL for as long as Raglan Shire, thanks to the dedication and diligence of Sylkye Taffeta, owner,operator, and designer @ Tiny Outpost you will find a lot to discover when you explore the build, find the airport, try a plane, ride  the rails, there is a lot to do.
